Coming December 5th, 2025, the long-awaited update to Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, New Game+, is finally being added, and a Third-Person mode! If you are unaware of what New Game+ is, it is a game mode that allows you, the player, to restart the game after you completed it, while keeping certain items, XP, Skills/abilities, etc. from the previous playthrough.
Check out the update video from Ubisoft’s article on the update with Avatar Creative Director, Omar Bouali.
The New Game+ offers a new challenge for seasoned players of Pandora. New Game+ allows you to keep your inventory and skills, facing tougher enemies and unlocking a brand-new skill tree and more powerful gear to take the game to another level!
However, Sky Breaker DLC and Secrets of the Spires DLC are NOT included in the New Game+. December 19th, 2025, the release of the From the Ashes DLC is not included with the New Game+, according to how the article puts it from From the Ashes article Ubisoft released. “New Game+ for the base game of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.” Base game only!
Third-Person mode, you’ll get a whole new perspective of the game! Exploring, facing against NDA, or just enjoying the views of Pandora, 3rd Person should bring a whole new, and possibly better, immersion feeling! Both current expansions are available in Third-Person mode, as well. December 19th, 2025, the release of the From the Ashes expansion will be available in 3rd Person as well!
Third-person view has you looking at your character as you play, while first-person view, you are seeing through your character’s eyes, in simple terms, if you needed the distinction.
I know I am looking forward to the Third-Person view! Give gameplay footage a new look with more of an “awareness” of the surroundings and a reason for myself, to give any sort of flying crap what my Na’vi looks like!
