August 21st, 2025, Ubisoft announced on X (Twitter) about a new animated TV series, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, which will be on Netflix. From the writer of the John Wick franchise, starring Liev Schreiber and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, dropping October 14th, 2025.
It’s everything you expect from Sam Fisher, except it is a TV show and not a video game like we all have been waiting for, OVER A DECADE! Well thought-out story, action-packed, Fisher not holding back while he sneaks around.
Fans of Sam Fisher, who enjoy the modern style of animated TV shows, there’s a chance you might enjoy this spy thriller, Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Warning tho, there is a big thing that makes Sam Fisher seem off… Sam Fisher is not played by Sam Fisher HIMSELF, Michael Ironside. This series may be a sign that any future Splinter Cell game, Sam Fisher won’t be voiced by the great Michael Ironside.
Is it worth investing your time in it? Check out the trailers and teasers below to decide for yourself. Note, it was already announced that there will be a Season 2 of the series by Ubisoft on October 15th, 2025. Pretty quick announcement, with it being a Netflix show that just aired on October 14th.
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is produced by Ubisoft, in partnership with animation studios Sun Creature and Fost. Derek Kolstad (John Wick) is the series’s head writer and executive producer, with Guillame Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage directing.

Netflix will also air the upcoming live-action approved for production, Assassin’s Creed TV series. With that said, just remember, it’s Netflix. There is no guarantee that any new series will live beyond the first or second season; they like to drop shows even with good ratings and viewership, as they hunt for GREAT-rated and viewership shows.
